2015 Jinja Caddies Golf Tournament:
Overall Winners: Ismail Mohammod – 71 Gross (Men) Lillian Kabui – 89 Gross (Women)
Jinja club’s Ismail Muhammod and Kenyan golfer, Lillian Kabui swung to Victory at the second Jinja Caddies Open 2015 edition that got underway at the par 9 hole Golf Course on Monday.
Muhammod emerged overall winner in the men’s category with 71 Gross dethroning 2014 edition winner, David Samanya who only managed to return 77 Gross.

Lulet Sunday finished as first runners up with 76 gross while Kasango duo of Phillip and Grace finished as second and third runners up with 77 and 78 Gross respectively.
Lillian Kabui emerged overall winner in the ladies category with 89 gross while Ann Wangui also from Kenya finished as Runners up with 102 gross.
In the ladies Nett Category, Sandra Twingiriza from Uganda Golf Club emerged winner with 89 nett while Entebbe’s Regina Namala finished as runners up with 89 nett.

The winners were rewarded with revolving trophies, decoders, mobile phones and T-shirts from tournament sponsors Star times and NBS Television.
Other sponsors included Kerussi International and Pinnacle Security.
In the Junior Category Marvin Kibirige returned 72 nett to emerge as winner while Solomon Kisembo finished as runners up with 73 nett. Meanwhile Nick Kawesa, Benson Opu from Entebbe Club and Rogers Eyoyo from Lugazi Club had their results cancelled and disqualified after it emerged that they had forged their card scores.

This year’s tournament attracted caddies from Entebbe, Lugazi, Uganda Golf Club, Namulonge, Jinja Club and 32 caddies from Kenya totaling to 73 caddies up from last year who were only 52.
“I had a good round of golf. I managed to get three birdies and three boggies and my putting was perfect” a jovial Ismail told the club’s gallery.
Tournament organizer and National team player Abbey Balagana disclosed that the tournament is aimed at promoting the game of golf in Uganda.
