While Uganda Netball Federation is trying to beat payment deadlines before the World Cup starts in August, the coaches are concentrating on the readiness of the team.

And the first task on hand for Fred Mugerwa, Wilberforce Mutente and Vincent Kiwanuka has been to name the team that will play at the Diamond Challenge in South Africa from June 14-21.

The trio has named 12 players who will represent at the Championship and are likely to be the 12 that will make the trip to Sydney Australia.

Skipper Peace Proscovia will lead the side that has Haddija Nakabuye, Stella Ayera, Halima Nakachwa, Harriet Apako, Jesca Achan, Betty Namukasa. The others are Lillian Ajio, Florence Nanyonga, Alice Nanteza Sempala, Enid Abalo, and Martha Soigi.

A total of 11 players have been dropped from the trip but will continue to work with the team, and they include; Racheal Nanyonga, Hadijah Nakabuye, Florance Amono, Irene Eyaru, Ruth Meeme, Caroline Alupo, Suzan Atino, Mummy Susan Mukala Elizabeth Atonet, Caroline Badaru, Betty Namukasa.

After the Diamond Challenge, the She Cranes will also play in Namibia from June 27-July 2, before the World Cup which is slated for August 7-16.
