Junior welterweight Sharif “Lion” Bogere will meet Mike Perez in the cofeature on July 11 at the Los Angeles Sports Arena in the HBO Latino-televised fight with the winner inching closer to a world title shot later in the year.

Bogere will be seeking his fifth straight knock out since his lose to Cuban Richar Abril in 2013 when he lost in his first title challenge in a WBA World lightweight title fight.

The Uganda boxer, who fights out of Las Vegas, Nevada is 27-1,(19 KOs) while Puerto Rican is 22-1,(10 KOs) going into this cofeature that is being promoted by Golden Boy Promotions.

In the previously announced 10-round main event, junior welterweight contender Mauricio Herrera (21-5, 7 KOs) will face “Hammerin’” Hank Lundy (25-4-1, 12 KOs) in what appears to be a toss-up fight.
