Record 16 time Uganda Premier League winners, Sports Club Villa Jogoo has officially completed the signing of proven goal poacher, Umar Kasumba.

The lanky forward, who has been featuring for Police F.C is believed to have put pen to paper on Tuesday for a reported U.shs 22M sign on fee.

The development comes after the club (Sports Club Villa) was engaged in a series of closed door meeting with the Police F.C high ramking officials.

Kasumba becomes the club’s 4th signing of the up coming season after they had signed Jinja Municipal Council play maker, Ambrose Kirya, Bul F.C temperamental but skilled midfielder, Robert Achema and Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) left winger, James Kasibante.

Kasumba has been part of the recent Uganda U-23 team that played Rwanda home and away but missed active involvement in both leg after a sprained hand.

He finished with 14 goals in the league, one short of lead striker, Robert Ssentongo who won the golden boot accolade for the 2014/15 season of the Uganda Premier league.

Kasumba’s former club, Police had for a long time been overwhelmed by the the number of offers that local and foreign clubs bid for striker.

Kenyan teams, Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards were targeting the lad as so, have been KCC, URA and Champions, Vipers.

SC Villa plays KCC in the Uganda Cup finals and the club is expected to name massive changes in the playing staff with closed highly placed sources indicating the 8 players will be handed their release letters after the end of the Uganda Cup final in Ntungamo.
