Ahead of Sunday’s main fight between Farouk Daku Malingumu of Uganda and Tanzanian opponent, Said Mbelwa at Nakivubo stadium parking yard, is the official weigh in ceremony at HBT Hotel, along Martin Road on Saturday.

The two prized fighters shall be battling for the African Boxing Union (ABU) belt under the fight dubbed ‘Do or Die’.

Daku, who made a triumphant entry into the Uganda capital, Kampala on Wednesday is beckoning on the adequate preparations he has undergone over the past months in the Netherlands where he is based.

I have prepared well. My training sessions have been great and I am more than ready to face my opponent, who is a good and experienced fighter

Daku told Kawowo Sports.

The night shall be opened with several under card fights lined up.

Alex Batwawula plays Johnson Sserunjogi, Mustapha Katumba fights Baker Nsubuga, Saba Saba entertains Musa Ntege, Tanzania’s Iman Mababano plays Vegas Lubega whilst Abdullah Ruwanje, another Tanzania takes on Uganda’s Solomon Bogere.

According to the organizers of the event, entry fees have been fixed under two categories; 10,000/- and 20,000/- for ordinary and VIP stands respectively.

The night has been organized by Nara promotions and Malingumu promotions with assistance with Kalina Pub Kyengera, HBT Hotel, Nara Restaurant – Masanafu, Metro F.M and Babu Wins.
