Young Africans 0-0 SC Villa

Sports Club Villa played to a goal-less draw to Tanzania Vodacom Premier League side Young Africans match in Dar es salaam on Saturday evening.

The Jogoos had nine players earning their first appearance with the side that has recruited massively in the off season.

Striker, Umar Kasumba, Abel Eturude, Misi Katende, Paul Mbowa, Henry Katongole, Tadeo Lwanga, Jonathan Mugabi, Robert Achema and left winger all featured in the game.

Young African’s forward, Godfrey Mwashiuya would have wrapped up the game for the hosts but his penalty on the stroke of full time was blasted high over bar.

Kasumba himself was unlucky not to net on his debut as he had a goal bound effort cleared off the line.

SC Villa missed the services of Hassan Wasswa, Isaac Muleme, Augustine Nsumba and Nigerian born striker, Victor Emenayo, who did not make the road trip to Dar es salaam for different reasons.

The match was intended to raise awareness as regards the protection of albinos in the country and the entire world is concerned.

The team returns Monday and will straight away embark on training as they intend to have another away trip in the Middle-East.

The match was organized by the Nyumbani Kwanza Media Group.
