Past are the times when the Sydney World Cup bound Uganda Netball team, The She Cranes will train on rough surfaces and under unbearable weather conditions.
The team got a life line on Tuesday, July 7 when they acquired the rights to train at the GEMS Cambridge International School (Butabika) netball indoor facility.

A visibly excited team skipper, Peace Proscovia said.
For the next three or so weeks before the team departs for the World Cup on August , 12015, Proscovia and her 14 other teammates will be training at the GEMS facility.
Director of the international school, Neville Sherman acknowledges the National Team, which is going to carry the flag at the World Cup deserved special treatment.
The team is welcome. This is an extensive facility which will help the physical and emotional development of the girls (players).
Sherman said as he addressed the media.
Polishing Up on Drills:
The team shall be expected to intensify training as the World Cup closes on.
Head coach, Fred Mugerwa believes the team is polishing up on ball control, retention, marking, defence, scoring, stepping, rebounds, off side management, contact, obstruction and interception of passes.
The team is also working on stamina, endurance, speed and agility.
We shall increase on sessions per day with more friendly matches with the men teams

Mugerwa and the technical team will in the 3 next weeks trim the side from 15 to 12, the final traveling number of players.
They are currently accommodated at MeterMood Hotel in Kyaliwajjala, Namugongo where none of the three male coaches has been given access.
