SC Victoria University will have to search for a new tactician ahead of the 2014/15 campaign with reports emerging Morley Byekwaso has joined Simba SC.

Simba’s head coaching position has been vacant after Cranes assistant Moses Basena left the club for URA FC after helping them survive relegation last season.

Details of the longevity of Byekwaso’s contract with the army side but impeccable sources reveal that it’s a two year deal.

The army side has been searching for Basena’s replacement with earlier reports stating that former KCC FC Coach Abdallah Mubiru was the prime candidate for the job.

Efforts to get a word from him were futile as his known numbers were off owing to the fact he is attending a coaching course at Njeru Technical Centre.

Byekwaso’s Coaching Profile:

While still an active player, Byekwaso coached Luzira United that had the likes of Saddam Juma, Emma Okwi and Muwadda Mawejje among others.

He also coached another Luzira based side called Ngege FC.

He was also part of the coaching staff at Proline for the Junior side

Joined KCC FC as third assistant to Matia Lule and Baker Mbowa in 2011/12 campaign but was later appointed interim coach after the two were sacked.

In January 2013, he joined SC Victoria University as assistant to Alex Isabirye and was elevated to Head Coach after Isabirye departure.
