Little League Baseball World Series Result: Uganda 4-1 Dominican Republic
Uganda is the first African country to ever register a main victory in the Little League baseball World Series.
Uganda easily overcame the Dominican Republic for a 4-1 commanding victory.
Three years ago, Uganda became the first country from the African continent to play in the Little League World Series.

In the earlier years, Uganda lost two games by 21-3 in a combined score, but recovered to defeat Oregon team 3-2 in the consolation bracket.
To qualify for this year’s meet, Uganda won the Europe-Africa regional tournament, held in Kutno, Poland by a combined 67-2 score after registering 6 out of 6 victories (5 by mercy rule).
Uganda will now face Venezuela. The latter defeated Australia 5-2. The next Uganda’s game will come on Sunday, 23rd August 2015 in the morning.
