Football life is a true definition of the term metamorphosis.

A convincing win, draw or loss of a game will completely impact on the club, player and team officials’ current stand.

Entebbe F.C, CRO, Kira Young, Proline, Water F.C and Masaka Local Council previously top flight sides in the highest football league in Uganda find themselves in the murky FUFA Big League waters – a division lower than the elite league.

Whereas Rwenshama F.C failed to comply with the set FUFA Competitions Regulations in the set time frames, the six aforementioned teams embark on the campaign to re-join the top flight as the FUFA Big League commences on independence eve.

The common factor of all these teams is that they start the season from scratches having lost a third of playing stuff and coaching benches.

Entebbe F.C is home to Sun City at the lake side Bugonga stadium.

On the same day, Masaka Local Council shall be hosting newly promoted side, Masavu F.C.

Proline Soccer Academy is at home against Western regional champions Citizens F.C at Nakivubo stadium.

Kira Young enters the fray on Sunday with the away trip to the intimidating Lango Sports Ground against Lira United.

Overall, there are thirteen matches on the opening match day of the FUFA Big League.
