• Tanzania 2-1 Rwanda

The Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro Stars became the first country to book a slot at the quarter finals of the 2015 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup tourney following a 2-1 hard fought victory over the Rwanda Amavubi Stars in a Group A match played in the mountainous town of Awassa in Ethiopia on Tuesday.

Tanzania were 4-0 winners in the opening match against Somalia and needed the three points to advance.

Juma Said fired a free-kick at the edge of the box for the opener in the first half before doubling the advantage at the onset of the second half through Simon Msuva after a blunder from Rwanda’s goalkeeper Olivier Kwizera.
