2015 Airtel-FUFA football Awards: 11th December 2015

With less than 12 days to the long awaited 2015 Airtel – FUFA football awards, preparations have smoothly continued to have the best ever awards.
The awards will take place on Friday, 11th December 2015 at the Speke Resort Munyonyo hotel in Kampala.
Bobkins Kibirige of Kibo media, the events manager for the function confirms to Kawowo Sports about the preparatory means;
All has been set to have the best ever football awards in the country. Preparations have progressed smoothly with all the necessary logistics in place. Security, the food, entertainment have all been finalized and what remains is the D-moment
The Awards were launched on Tuesday 6th October, 2015 at Serena Hotel with the main aim of honouring the excellence for Ugandan footballers.
The theme for the Awards is ‘Celebrating Uganda’s Finest Footballers‘
Faruku Miya is highly tipped to win the male best player of the year
Uganda’s best in the Male and Female categories will each drive home a brand new car.
Airtel Uganda as the official sponsors of the Awards bankrolled the event with Ug.shs 100M package.
Other partners are Pepsi, UBC T.V, Azam Tv, Nile Special, NIC and Brand Vision.
Fans rewarded:
The 5 fans who send the most number of SMS messages to vote in any of the 4 categories will be rewarded with attending the Special Night and also free access to the Uganda Cranes matches for a year while the one with the most messages sent will also win a fully paid-up trip to travel with the Uganda Cranes on an away trip.

Category 2: FUFA Female player of the year:
Nabweteme Sandra: Fans will send SMS by typing “FUFA 50 Send to 6669” for Nabweteme Sandra

Category 3: Fans’ Favourite player (Ugandan player)

Category 4: Fans Favourite player in European Leagues
This award will also be determined by the fans. This is not limited to any nationality inclusive of Ugandans meaning any player in any club in Europe may be voted
