The Entebbe Sharks girls rugby team won the U-19 girls tournament played at the Entebbe S.S play ground over the weekend.
Inspired by Most Valuable Player, Peace Lekuru, the Sharks were in scintillating form winning over Peacock 32- 00, Eagles 12-5 and the Baby Panthers 29-00 in a one day gala that drew six teams.
Presiding over the official prize giving ceremony, Uganda Women Rugby Association secretary, Helen Buteme urged the youngsters to remain focused in line with promoting their talents, finishing education and avoiding early relationships that would result into un-called for pregnancies.
Thanks for exhibiting your talents, but remember education should be your focus because it will give you a job and pay your bills. Avoid early pregnancies because they will ruin your career and future, yet we want to see you playing for the national team in the coming years
The U-19 girls rugby tournament was organized by Entebbe Rugby Club and attracted six clubs including Kyadondo Peacock, Kyadondo Eagles, Entebbe Sharks, Baby Panthers and Sharks B.
