January of every calendar year has turned out to be a complete blessing for Uganda Premier League outfit, Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Football Club.
For the second January running, the historical Lugogo based club has penned a mega sponsorship pact as partner for the team.
On January 22nd 2015, KCCA F.C officially unveiled StarTimes as the front shirt main sponsors for a hefty 900M for three years’ epoch.
12 months down the drain, the ten time league champions has on 4th January 2016 launched yet another sponsor, Prime Media Network as the back shirt sponsor for a deal worth Shs. 750M that will last for three years.
The Prime Media Network official unveiling ceremony was held at the May Apple Hall, Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala during the club’s media and partnership engagement luncheon.
Club patron, Jenifer Semakula Musisi, also the Executive Director of the Kampala Capital City Authority attended the ceremony.
“We are a template of Uganda’s football. KCCA is committed to supporting sports and witnessing sporting successes not only on football but also other sports as well” Musisi said in a rather coarse but strong voiced tone.
At the same event, the club (KCCA F.C) also revealed the new team captain, Denis Okot Oola and his vice, Joseph Ochaya.
Ugandan F.A president, Moses Magogo, club legends, fans, well wishers, media personalities, Uganda Super League board chairman Arinaitwe Rugyendo and some of his committee members attended the brief but colorful ceremony.
Club chairman, Julius Kabugo used the plat form to outline the club’s 2015 successes and the pit-falls as a reflection to polish for the year projected ahead.
Some of the milestones reached for the club was the beefing of the technical and playing staff, winning bronze at the CECAFA Clubs Championships, recruitment of a well trained medical team, club’s Junior structure (with a sound U-17 team) and the mobilization of club fans where majority were officially registered at KCCA F.C fans.
