CHAN 2016: Rwanda
Rwanda Amavubi Stars head coach, Johnny Mckinstry confirmed his final squad of 23 players ahead of CHAN 2016 finals.
The Irish born tactician has named three goalkeepers, eight defenders, five midfielders and seven strikers on the team.
Rayon Sports’ Eric Ndayishimye and the APR duo of Olivier Kwizera and Jean Claude Ndori are the three goalkeepers named.
Dropped:
McKinstry left behind Muhadjiri Hakizimana, Alexis Ngirimana, Yvan Senyange, Kevin Muhire, Nzarora Marcel, Nizeyimana Djuma, Havugarurema Jean Paul Raro, Mushimiyimana Mohamed Ndetse and Isaie Songa.
Rwanda played to a one all draw with Cameroon on Wednesday in an international build up played at Umuganda stadium in Rubavu.
Abdul Rwatubyaye put the home side ahead in the 40th minute before second half replacement Moumi Ngamalou scored the equalizer 10 minutes after the game restart.
The team plays Ivory Coast in the opening match on 16th January 2016 at Amahoro Stadium.
The host nation is in group A alongside Gabon, Cameroon and Ivory Coast.
