The reality of the old school adage that when a door closes, there is another that is eagerly awaiting to warmly embrace you and open can be openly envisaged in the way Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club has swiftly acted to solve defender Richard Kasagga’s sudden departure to Lebanon.
The Tax collectors agreed terms with Joseph Owino, a former player of the club for two complete seasons.
Owino has been a player at Kenyan premier club, Sofapaka F.C but recently applied to the Kenya players Union to leave the club after the club allegedly breached his contract following non payment for a couple of months.
Owino joined Sofapaka F.C on 27th June 2015 after being released by Tanzanian giants, Simba Sports Club on a mutual consent agreement.
The former Kiswera S.S student in Masaka had previously played for Azam FC after leaving Simba in 2011.
Before leaving for Simba, he played at Uganda Revenue Authority F.C.
He is expected to fill the void left by Richard Kasagga who left for a semi professional stint in Lebanon.
However, it is yet to be confirmed whether the Kenya Football federation has blessed the move.
URA F.C also signed midfielder Nicolas Kagaba from Sports Club Victoria University, releasing Noah Semakula and Bob Kasozi who have since joined Express Football Club.
