Five-time champions Brazil join the fray when they take on Morocco in their Group C fixture in the 2026 Fifa World Cup on Sunday.
The record world cup winners go into the game without injured Neymar Jr who Carlo Ancelloti confirmed could even be away for all group matches.
Brazil want to go further than the quarter final spot they managed at the last edition against a side that reached the semi-final – the first African nation to achieve the feat.
Pressure will be on Ancelotti, the first foreigner to lead the Selecao but has a track record of winning trophies everywhere he has coached.

However, their last triumph came in 2002; their current 24-year drought matches the exact length of their historic dry spell between 1970 and 1994, which was ultimately ended on American soil.
Morocco will be without centre back Nayef Aguerd and winger Abde Ezzalzouli and are replaced by Al Fateh’s Marwane Saadane and Angers’s Amine Sbai.
In the same group, Scotland and Haiti square off later in the morning at 4am while there will be Austria and Turkey at 7am.
