Impis fly-half Henry Nsekuye has revealed that he is ready to aid his colleagues take down tricky opponents Rams, in the weekend thriller that closes the first round of the Uganda Rugby Premiership on Saturday.

The University student believes his side will walk away with a resounding victory after gathering momentum in their last outing against Gulu Elephants. Nsekuye who notched a try and one conversion alongside Ortega Daniel (Try) and Rubango Kenneth (Try) said;

“Never been a smooth 80mins with Rams on the other side. Nevertheless, I’m very optimistic we’ll be victors.”

Impis had gone seven matches without victory, four home losses and three away, and now focus on their last before the season break, a must-win.

Rams boast of two victories this season and all will be at stake if they are to survive relegation this season. They have only gathered one away win this season, a challenge that could haunt them in front of the Impis home crowd.

Elsewhere, Pirates travel to Entebbe hoping to thrash Mongers and shining star and Pirates says this is their chance to re-brand the ‘house of pain’.

“If you saw us play last season, you can see that there is a lot of improvement this campaign,”he told Daily Monitor’s SCORE. “We want to finish the first round with a win and wait to see what the second round has to offer.”
