After his MX2 title hopes came to naught last year, Alestair Blick has moved a step forward to further facilitate his 2016 title ambitions.
The 12-year-old has acquired the latest model of Yamaha (F2016 Y2F 250) ahead of the Second Round of the National Motocross Championship set for Easter Sunday.
His upgrade is set to trigger a tight battle between him and the current class leader Fatuh Kiggundu.
“He only needs one or two races to get used to the bike and then the MX2 riders should watch out,” says Arthur Blick Jr; the father and trainer of Alestair.
Blick is yet to claim a title since winning the Regional and National MX85 title in 2013.
However, he will have to start by exhausting Fatuh Kiggundu’s hopes who is anxiously eyeing the same title during weekend’s contest.
Blick is currently standing in third, 8points behind Kiggundu.
