Seven Uganda Rugby Cranes’ players have made it to the East Africa franchise side representing the region at the annual GFI Hong Kong 10s.
Captain Micheal Wokorach is part of the contingent set to feature alongside three Kenyans and Rwandans at the showpiece due Wednesday at the Hong Kong Football Club.
Mathias Ochwo Azalia, Ivan Kevin Makmot, Eric Kasita, James Ijongat, Alan Otim and George Olwo are the other faces from the pearl.
GFI East Africans was put together by former Rwanda national team coach Dave Hughes.
Lion de Fer’s centre Cambara Marcel Koko and Remera Buffaloes pair of full back and Vincent Kamali and prop Benjamin Akami Makombe were selected from Rwanda.
Kelvin Amiyo, Raymond Ochieng and Philip Achieng made the trip from Kenya.
The Tens has been held every year since 1986, and has seen big names grace the turf including the late Jonah Lomu, Bob Skinstad Clive Woodward, Scott Hastings, Graeme Bachop, Neil Jenkins and Brian Lima.
