Friday Fixtures:

W: KIU Rangers vs. A1 Challenge, 6:30pm

M: Power vs. Warriors, 8:30pm

It doesn’t matter at what stage these teams meet, fans have never complained about the quality of game Power and Pemba Warriors serve them with and the case will not be different this Friday.

Philip Ameny unceremoniously left the five time champions and now will be in the limelight as he faces his former bosses, he scored 15 points against his other former side Falcons in the team’s first win of the season.

Motivated by the big budget at the club now, Warriors are expeted to perform way better than they did last season, probably the reason they set a finals’ target to enable them qualify for the Zone V Club championship next year.

“It is a long season and we take each game as it comes,” new Warriors coach and six time champion Sam Obol told Kawowo Sports after his side’s first game of the season.

Ahmed Temitope and Ceaser Kizito both had impressive debuts for the club and Obol will be hoping for the same in the team’s second game.

For Power, it will be a long season. They are yet to get a sponsor for the season but Brian Wathum managed a convincing 81-64 win over Sharing Youths on game day one.

Even with their shoe string budget, the 2011 winners hired the services of Benard Okumu and the Sudanese duo of Deng Mawien and Athieny Lwal.
