Uganda Cranes head coach, Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic believes the international friendly with Zimbabwe is just a perfect test for his players ahead of the Botswana match.
This international friendly match will be a great test of our players, to check the readiness mentally and physically.
One match is better than 10 training sessions.
We are trying to test out the different combinations of players.
Micho and 17 players arrived in Harare on Monday afternoon and after checking in at the lavish Cresta Oasis Hotel and Apartments, they held their maiden training session on the fading turf of the Rufaro stadium in Mbare slum township inside Harare.
This training has been to body tone the muscles of the players after the long hours on the plane as well as acclimatization training to the poor state of the playing surface to check the ball bounce and movement as well.
All the players looked in shape and ready for the battle at hand.
Tonny Mawejje and newly crowned PSL goalkeeper of the year, Dennis Onyango arrive hours to the early kick off game.
