Uganda Cranes team captain, Geofrey Massa has tipped Proline youngster, Edris ‘Torres’ Lubega to succeed at club and national team levels.

He is willing to learn, humbled, athletic, can dribble, shoot and intelligent.

Going by the current trend, I see he will succeed in national colours and at club level

The Bloemfontein Celtics striker has however cautioned Lubega to desist from all sorts of pride elements that come naturally when one person attains success.

Football needs composed people. Lubega still has to learn some few things about the game but he is on the right track

Lubega, a senior six student at Dynamic S.S in Mukono broke to prominence last year when he topped scored in the Buganda Masaza football tournament, scoring seven goals to guide Ssingo to the title.

This very season, he scored 21 goals in the FUFA Big league to help Proline gain promoted to the elite league.

He scored a goal for the Uganda national Under 20 side that had eliminated Rwanda although Rwanda progressed via a board room CAF decision.

Both players are now with the Cranes’ team preparing for the up coming AFCON 2017 qualifier against Botswana on Saturday.

The team has been in Zimbabwe for five days to acclimatize to the chilly weather conditions almost similar in Botswana.
