Kenya’s Darwin Mukidza has revealed the secret behind his nation’s triumph over Uganda in the 2016 Elgon Cup first leg in Kampala.
The man of the match says it all came down to preparations, which the Simbas did, hence routing Uganda in their own backyard.
Cranes succumbed to a comprehensive beating by Kenya, a 10-48 alarming score that went down as new low in Uganda’s international engagements with foreign sides.
“We prepared well knowing we were playing away from home, ” he told Kenya Rugby Union website.
“Whenever I got the ball, I thought of gaining yards for my team, or finishing off whenever I found myself in a position to score.”
Uganda have embarked on intense preparations ahead of their tier 1A encounter with Namibia on July 2nd.
They travel to South Africa first on Saturday morning for a 12-day camp in Free State.
