After opening the exit door to nine players, URA has already drawn up recruitment plans with three players already nearing a switch to Lugazi.

Kawowo Sports understands that Express midfielder Ibrahim Kayiwa, Lweza’s right back Fred Okot as well Sadolin Paints’ goalie Mathias Muwanga are on the club’s radar.

Kayiwa, who netted six league goals for the Red Eagles last season, is arguably the most sought after midfielder currently with reports that champions KCCA are also interested in luring him to Lugogo.

To URA, he is seen as a perfect replacement for Saidi Kyeyune who has been let go by the club.

For Okot, he is a young right back that can follow in the footsteps of the retired Simeon Masaba that has been elevated to the technical team while Muwanga, the golden glove winner with 16 clean sheets last season is intended to fill the void in the department after the release of Sulait Luyima and Brian Bwete.

There are also reports that Nelson Senkatuka (KCCA), Julius Mutyaba (Lweza) and Douglas Kisembo (Police) are also being targeted by the former league champions.

URA Coach Kefa Kisala is a known admirer of the trio but it remains to be seen if they will all end up at Lugazi.
