2016 Women Elite League: Semi finals

Kawempe Muslim Secondary School will play the She Corporates in the final of the 2016 Women Elite League.
This follows the successful semi finals played on Thursday at Nakivubo stadium.
In the opening match, defending champions Kawempe Muslim pipped UCU Lady Cardinals 1-0 courtesy of Hasfa Nassuna’s strike in the first half.
Earlier, Kawempe Muslim had missed a couple of chances to take the lead.
Tracy Akiror hit the cross bar, Sandra Nabweteeme missed a goalie to beat incident and Nassuna miscontrolled a well squared ball before she finally beat goalkeeper Cissy Nakiguba for the lone strike on the day.
In the subsequent match, Gafford Ladies lost 2-1 to She Corporates in an exciting match.

Versatile player, Stellah Kaliba gave the She Corporates a deserved lead with a well taken strike from over 30 yards.
Fallone ‘Neymar’ Nahimana found the equalizer in the second half after a great display but Cissy Nalubega had the last and final laugh with the winning goal minutes to the end of the game.
She Corporates finished the game with ‘ten men’ after a red card to Naome Naggadya following a second bookable offence.

The final will be played on Sunday at Nakivubo Stadium.
