Management at Gor Mahia football club has in good faith passed a resolution to release Uganda Cranes midfielder, Aucho Khalid.
Still with one year left on the current employment contract, Aucho has got several tempted offers from teams in South Africa and one official approach by Scottish club Aberdeen.
Club chairperson, Ambrose Dickson Otieno Rachier confirmed the willingness of the club to release the left footed midfielder for greener pastures.
We are a club that wish good for our servants. Khalid has been a great player but he is ready to exploit opportunities elsewhere
Bidvest Wits, Highlanders are two South African clubs that have openly expressed the desire to sign the former Tusker roving midfielder.
As Aucho’s backup, the Green Army has signed Crispin Odula, formerly in Finland with second tier league side AC Oulu FC.
“Odula is a seasoned midfielder. He should be an asset in our attacking and central midfield. We welcome him to Kogalo family” Otieno said of the midfielder as quoted by the official club website.
Odula arrives at a club that already has finished midfield products in Baron Oketch, Collins Okoth and Ernest Wendo.
He joins Wellington Ochieng, Ugandan born Rwandese Meddie Kagere and midfielder Oketch.
On Sunday, Gor Mahia travel to Thika United.
