The Rugby Cranes take on the Zimbabwe Sables on Saturday and will be hoping to bounce back from their defeat to Namibia in their first game of the Tier 1A tournament.

While they will pay no attention to Zimbabwe’s last outing that saw the Sables molested by the Kenya Simbas, the Rugby Cranes remain confident they can get a result from Bulawayo.

“It is not easy to play away from home but we have seen teams winning away games and we have prepared for this,” head coach John Duncan told Kawowo Sports before the team’s departure to Zimbabwe on Thursday.

Uganda have to grind a result from the two remaining games if they are to stand a chance of staying in Tier 1A and Duncan believes the team has done enough to get the important win.

Injuries to Kevin Makmot, Ronald Musajjagulanyago and Gerald Ssewankambo have not not made life easier for the team but the inclusion of Ivan Magomu and Robert Masendi gives Duncan alternatives at the half back positions.

Oscar Kalyango and Brian Asaba will be expected to fill the void left by Ssewankambo and Musajjagulanyago respectively.
