Former Bomber and National Team boxing coach Dick Katende has died.
Much as the nature of his death is yet to be established, some sources have reported that Katende woke up for a short call at around 4am, he slid and hit his head on the ground before passing on.
Members of the sports fraternity have started to pour in their condolence messages.
Former sports administrator Kennedy Mutenyo posted on his Facebook page;
RIP boxing coach DICK KATENDE. All those of who lived in Naguru housing estate will always remember the love & smiles you gave us young people. To all “MWANAS” pole sana.”
2014 Commonwealth bronze medalist Fazil Juma Kaggwa also posted on his Facebook page.
