I will try to fit in as much sports as possible, even synchronized swimming. The goal is to enchant, share as much as possible about this beautiful city Rio de Janeiro.
By no means was it a smooth start to the journey with reports of a crash landing in Dubai, which meant delays at the airport.
With the stopover done, it was the long haul 14 hours to Rio and I was lucky to sit next to journalists from Cyprus. They knew about Uganda, apparently in 1972 when John Aki Bua broke record, a runner from Cyprus was 6th in that race!
And you would be surprised how many competing countries have never won any medal in their history.
Uganda is very lucky! That realization grounds you a little and makes you more appreciative of Uganda and its talents.
