After a three months’ break, the 2016/17 Beach Soccer League returns with match day one fixtures on Sunday, 28th August 2016 at Lido Beach in Entebbe.

Last season’s defending champions, Nkumba Select who look depleted takes on a new look Dalumba International in one of the Hurriken Group games lined up.

Dalumba International has just completed the signing of sharp striker Swaibu Kakwaya from Stormers for a club record transfer fee (Ug.shs 2M).

Kakwaya will replace Mathias Kigonya who left for greener pastures in the Kenya Premier League with Sofapaka Football Club.

“I am set for the season ahead of me. I am happy to have joined Dalumba International,” Kakwaya stated.

Buwanika Bulls host Mutesa Royal University as International University of East Africa (IUEA) will take on MUBS in some of the other Hurriken Group games.

Meanwhile, Talented plays against Harunah Kebbah’s coached YMCA.

In the Moonson group, debutants Mengo Hospital will play Kayunga Town Council, MS Sand Lions face Kabalagala Rangers, KIU will play Stormers.

The epic fixture of the day will witness St Lawrence playing Real Galaticos.

The new season will be expected to climax in May 2017.

Nkumba Select is the reigning National Beach Soccer League champion.
