Young pugilists from Uganda did not enjoy their time in Rwanda’s boxing rings.

The boys suffered humiliation at the hands of Rwandese boxers in a friendly youth tournament organised by the local boxing governing body (RABA).

Rwanda impressed in eight bouts against four in different age and gender categories; 8-10 years and 17-34.

Alex Kakoza from the Pearl succumbed to a 3-0 loss to Rwanda’s Vincent Sengiyumva.

Uganda national youth team and coach Lawrence Onyango expressed delight at the tests his players went through saying “the whole event went well.”

In a quest for more action, Rwanda’s youth outfit is to travel to Uganda in December.
