Former Uganda Premier League side Entebbe continues with their fight back into top flight football.
Two seasons after playing in the second tier league, Entebbe continues to swim in the murky waters of the FUFA Big League.
This year, they have two points from two games having drawn the first two games of the season – 1-1 away to Synergy and the goalless with Masavu in the Entebbe derby last week.
On Thursday, they play host to newly promoted Kataka Football Club from Mbale.
Key players:
Entebbe eyes the timely return of Sunday Mukiibi who missed the Entebbe derby through injury.
Others key players upon which they will dwell upon are Innocent Hashaya, Nickodemus ‘Mande’ Ikesit, Abraham Ndugwa and Lawrence Bajja.
Defender Duncan Ssemakula, who was substituted against Masavu with a head injury is subject to a late fitness test.
Kataka’s Nasur Nandala, Aziz Nambubi and Peter Lusimbula are two players who can lift any side on a given day.
Kataka is currently seated at 7th place with 4 points off three games. Entebbe on the other hand is 9th with their two draws from 2 games.
Elswhere, another Entebbe based side Masavu traveled to Kasese where they will take on Sun City at Nyakasanga play ground.
Hoima side, Boma Young is away to Water at Kibuli S.S play ground in Kampala.
In the Elgon Group, Maroons will play Moroto United in the Karamojong district of Moroto.
Artland-Katale Kamuli Park hosts Kira United in Kamuli district whilst Doves All Stars will entertain Busia Fisheries at the Barifa Stadium.
After the six Thursday games, the FUFA Big League will resume on Saturday with four games.
