Phillip Pariyo will start Bedwas RFC’s Wednesday Foster Cup match against New Port visit in the first round.
The former Buffaloes wing has been off with illness that sidelined him for close to a fortnight or so.
Speaking to Kawowo Sports’ Edgar Kazibwe, Pariyo refuted rumours that he had sustained injury.
“Not injured but have been sick, Flu and headache..” he revealed.
Since proving his worth by touching thrice for against Glamorgan Wanderers, Pariyo seeks another jaw-dropping show after two matches.
Due to several injuries, Bedwas coach Steve Law has been forced to draft in players from Bedlinog, Pontypool, Penallta, Newport Gwent Dragons Academy, Cross Keys and Caerphilly.
Pariyo – who has had spells with the Wanderers and St Peter’s in Cardiff – currently stands at an average of one try per game after amassing three in three.
