Lefke Spor 2-2 Mormenekse

Since joining the Cyprus top flight division, Lawrence Nduga worked his way to the starting eleven of Mormenekse Football Club.

Through out the friendly games, Ndugga proved he was the worthy player that the club had been missing, creating and scoring goals for fun.

On his debut, he guided Mormenekse with a goal and two assists to his name when they overcame Binatli Yilmaz 3-0 at the Magusi stadium.

On Saturday, he scored one and created the other in the 2-2 away draw with Lefke Spor.

The former Uganda Kobs star winger who has twice turned out for Uganda Cranes attributes his impressive performance to self belief and sacrifice in training and during the matches;

First of all, I thank God because without Him, there is nothing impossible. My teammates and coaches here (in Cyprus) have also helped me settle in well. Besides, i work so hard in training and matches.

When Ndugga had first traveled to Cyprus, he had trials with Dumlupinar, which he passed.

Negotiations for a contract hit a dead end after failure to come to terms with his agent and the club.

In Uganda, he has previously played at Simba, Kira Young and lately Bright Stars.
