Less than six months after joining SC Villa, goalkeeper Yasin Mugabi is close to a move to Al Ahli FC of the United Arab Emirates.

Mugabi, who was in the stands as the Jogoos walloped Bright Stars 5-3 in the league on Tuesday is reportedly in Dubai according to impeccable sources that preferred concealment.

“He is in Dubai to sort out a few issues and if done, he will sign,” said a source before adding. “The deal is in the final stages but will get back to you when all is done.”

Despite this, SC Villa Chief Executive Officer, Ivan Kakembo denied the club of having knowledge about the alleged deal.

“It’s news to me,” a surprised Kakembo told Kawowo Sports. “As a club, we are not aware of any deal and so can’t speak about it,” he added.

In December last year, Mugabi, who has previously kept goal for KCCA and URA made a trip to the same destination with hope of getting a club there but it never materialised.
