Confederation of African Football (CAF) has specified that Uganda Cranes will wear their away kit for Saturday’s AFCON 2017 match against Egypt.

This is due to the fact the Cranes will be deemed the away team at Stade de Port Gentil yet their home colour (red) is same as that of their opponents, Egypt.

In a pre-match briefing attending by officials from either side, they agreed the Cranes will wear white shirts, black shorts and white socks while The Pharaohs will don Red Shirts, White shorts and black socks with white round strips.

“We are the away side on the day and so we shall use our away kit,” confirmed FUFA Media officer Ahmed Hussein.

Meanwhile, Ugandan goalkeepers will wear yellow kits from shirts to socks while it will be all green for their Egyptian counterparts.

The fixture will be the second on the day at Port Gentil after a West African battle between Mali and Ghana an hour earlier.
