Vipers Sports Club have continued to prepare adequately before they travel to Comoros for the return leg of the CAF Confederation Cup tie against Volcan De Club.

On Tuesday evening, Vipers played a warm up game with Jinja side, Kirinya- Jinja S.S at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.

Teenage striker Francis Onekalit notched the solitary goal during the practice match played on astro-turf surface, similar to where the return leg will be played come Saturday in Moroni.

The technical team used the match to test the different players, playing formations, match fitness and the continued acclimatization to the synthetic playing surface.

The friendly duel proceeded an early morning session conducted at the Philip Omondi stadium in Kampala.

Wednesday’s session will still be held at Lugogo ahead of the club’s intended Thursday travel arrangement.

The first leg between Vipers and Volcan De Moroni ended in a goal-less draw at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

The return leg is scheduled for Saturday February 18, 2017 at the Stade de Moroni in the Comoros Islands.

The winner of this encounter after the two legs will meet either Platinum Stars of South Africa or Mozambique’s Uniao do Songo in the first round.
