For the second consecutive game, Vipers couldn’t find the back of the net after drawing 0-0 with JMC Hippos at Namboole.

The hosts came into the game on the back of a disappointing barren stalemate with Express FC last Friday and that prompted Coach Richard Wasswa to make six changes.

Dan Birikwalira was restored at left back, Musa Malunda played at the heart of defence with Shafik Bakaki left out, Kezironi Kizito returned to the starting team and so did Pius Wanji and midfielder Aziz Kemba who made his competitive debut for the club.

Wasswa’s side, third on the log with 29 points were the better side for better parts of the game especially in the first half but missed chances through Wanji while Kemba forced a good save from the visiting custodian.

Erisa Ssekisambu hit the wood work after intercepting Hassan Musana’s pass as the first half ended square.

In the second half, Tonny Odur who missed the duel with Express replaced midfielder Kemba as the search for a vital goal intensified and later Ibrahim Kayiwa and Alfred Leku joined the fray for the hosts.

But not even the changes could change the score line as JMC Hippos snatched yet another point from giants after holding URA and SC Villa earlier in the second round.

Despite earning a point, they stay bottom of the 16 team table with only 8 points and remain the only side yet to win a game this season.
