St George Football Club defeated Arbaminch 4-1 as they continued with their fine run in the Ethiopia Premier League at the Arbaminch Kenema stadium, south of the mountainous country.

Veteran center forward Adane Girma notched a brace, before the other strikes from Assefa Behailu and Ivorian import Bruno Kone wrapped up business for the 28 time record league winners of the horn of Africa nation.

Goalkeeper Robert Odongkara featured for the entire duration of the game and the creative gem, Yassar Mugerwa played for 75 minutes.

St George now switch their firing guns to Dedebit this Saturday.

This will be the last league game before flying out to face Congo’s AC Leopards in the first round of the CAF Champions League.

The Ethiopian giants eliminated Syechelles’ Cote D’Or 5-0 on aggregate with the second leg match played over two days.

Following the abandonment of the game due to heavy rains, the match was successfully completed the following day.
