For the first time under Matia Lule, Express FC won two successive games in the league after beating Police 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller.

Allan Kyambadde bagged a brace while Mahad Kakooza and Simon Sserunkuma scored the others for the hosts.

Michael Birungi also netted twice for the Cops and Hood Kaweesa got the other.

Kakooza put the hosts in the lead as early 14 minutes when he got at the end of Kyambadde’s ball before the latter turned scorer with six minutes to half time.

Substitute Simon Sserunkuma who had replaced Didier Toya added the third three minutes later and Birungi pulled one back for the visitors with a minute to the half time whistle.

Abdallah Mubiru made a change at half time withdrawing Edwin Hasule for Ben Ocen as the visitors sought a comeback.

But it was the hosts who extended their lead through Kyambadde as Lule’s side remained dominant.

With 19 minutes to time, Birungi got his and Police’s second on the day with a well taken strike before Hood Kaweesa scored the 3rd in the second minute of added time.

With pressure piling on the home team, ball boys vanished and those around hid the balls but the final whistle meant the Cops, for the first time in succession under Mubiru lost two games.

The DSTV sponsored Red Eagles move to 6th on the 16 team log with 30 points while Police drops to 11th with 24 points.
