George ‘Best’ Nsimbe’s long wait for a maiden victory at Tusker came to end thanks to a 1-0 win over Chemelil Sugar in the Kenya Premier League.

Nsimbe’s compatriot, Shafik Batambuze saved the day for the Brewers with a penalty at the death of half time to give the team their first maximum points of the season.

Prior to the game, the Kenya Premier League reigning champions had lost two successive games in the league, eliminated from the CAF Champions League at the preliminary stage and also lost the Super Cup to rivals Gor Mahia.

Moses Ndaula featured for the side while midfielder Hashim Ssempala missed due to tonsillitis that have seen him admitted according to sources in Kenya.

The win lifts Tusker to 15th on the 18-team log with 3 points and gets pressure off Nsimbe who was hired at the start of the season.
