As team Uganda prepares for the Division 3 World Cricket League due in Kampala from May 21st-31st they will be have 5 ODI games against familiar enemy Kenya.

Kenya fresh from a not so bad tour to Nepal will offer team Uganda a very good challenge in their quest to sharpen their skills ahead of the global qualifier.

Current coach Steve Tikolo was sacked by Cricket Kenya before Uganda snapped him up and am certain revenge will be on his mind against his natives.

Ahead of the build up games, coach Tikolo said;

The upcoming tour means a lot to us as a team. It is part of our preparation leading into WCL qualifiers and a good opportunity for us to work on a number of things like team plans and strategy, player roles and identifying areas that need polishing before the qualifiers.

It will also be an opportunity for the coaching team to have a look at Mpho and Lloyd our foreign based players . I expect it to be very competitive and look to win the series.

We will also look to give each player in the training squad a chance to play as we finalize our squad for the qualifiers.
