Derrick Nsibambi has expressed delighting after scoring the winning goal for KCCA Football Club against Al Masry in the CAF Confederation Cup playoff first leg.
The striker came off the bench for a seemingly injured Muzamiru Mutyaba to net lone goal in the last minute of added time as the Kasasiro defeated the Egyptian side 1-0 at Philip Omondi stadium on Saturday.
Nsibambi, who was scoring his first goal on the continent this term couldn’t hide his delight after the final whistle saying it was great for as an individual and the club.
“I’m really happy that I scored the decisive goal but most importantly that we got the result as team and that helps us to go into the return leg with confidence,” he told the club website.
“We had the belief that a goal would come anytime because we kept attacking them and thankfully the chance came and we put it away,” he added.
The return leg comes in a week’s time in Ismailia, Egypt with the aggregate winner advancing to the group stages of thecompetition.
