The Nigeria Super Eagles will face Corsica – a tiny island in France and Burkina Faso as the side prepares for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against South Africa.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced the friendlies envisaging a camp in France in May just before the AFCON qualifier in Uyo at home.

“Eagles would be playing against Corsica national team, a small island in France while camping in the country for the Nations Cup qualifier, talks are also going on for the Eagles to play against Burkina Faso,” Super Eagles Media Officer, Toyin Ibitoye revealed.
“The friendlies, according to Rohr, is to assist him assemble the best players to battle South Africa. It is not confirmed yet if the Eagles camp will on May 23rd in France.
“Travelling plans for the team to France and players shortlisted will soon be made available to the media,” he added.
Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations after falling to a 1-0 defeat in Egypt in the qualifiers.
