Police FC Coach Abdallah Mubiru was left to rue missed opportunities against Bright Stars as his charges played to a barren draw in the league on Tuesday.

The 2005 league winners were dominant for most parts of the game but failed to make their dominance count against a resilient Stars defence although Yasin Mugume, Ruben Kimera and Hood Kaweesa had chances missed.

“It’s disappointing to dominate and don’t win,” Mubiru told Kawowo Sports. “We weren’t aggressive enough in front of goal and we that cost us,” he added.

With four games left for the Cops who sit 10th on the 16 team log with 29 points, Mubiru remains confident of survival although he admits they have put themselves in a tough situation.

We have to dig out ourselves from the pit we have put ourselves in. It’s now tough but we have the quality and character to get out of it.

Police’s remaining four fixtures are against SC Villa (A), URA (H), JMC Hippos (A) and Lweza (H).
