FUFA Big League: Wednesday, 19th April 2017:

  • Artland Katale 1-0 Paidha Black Angels
  • Water 1-0 Kataka

Saleh Kato’s first half goal was enough as Artland Katale defeated Paidha Black Angels 1-0 at Kamuli Park Municipal Stadium during in the FUFA Big League on Wednesday.

The result means Paidha Black Angels will not finish in the playoff places as they remain on 31 points with a game to play. Artland-Katale now has 29 points but stays 6th with one game to play.

In the other match played on the day, Water overcame visiting Kataka from Mbale 1-0.

Water remains 5th with 31 points ahead of  their last away match to already promoted Masavu on 27th April 2017.

Playoffs:

The playoffs shall start on the 4th May 2017 with the first runners of Elgon Group taking on the second runners in Rwenzori group for the opening game.

In the second game, the 1st runners up of Rwenzori versus second runners up in Elgon group.

Both the main promotional final and last match of the FUFA Big League (Masavu, winner of Rwenzori Group and winner of Elgon Group) will be played on Sunday, 7th May 2017 at the Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku.
