- KCCA will play sides from Morocco and Tunisia in the group stages
- They eliminated Egypt’s Al Masry at the playoff stage to reach the stage

KCCA captain Denis Okot Oola has admitted it will be tough to make it out of the group in the CAF Confederation Cup but says they will fight hard.
The Ugandan side was drawn in Group A that has giants Club Africain (Tunisia) and FUS Rabat (Morocco) and Nigeria’s Rivers United.
“I think our group is one of the toughest,” admitted Okot. “We need to assemble our house together so that we can fight hard to reach the quarter,” he added.
The target is the quarters and from there, we shall set another target.
Okot and his teammates eliminated Egyptian side El Masry 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 aggregate tie says the Tunisian and Moroccan clubs offer a sterner test than the Egyptian side.
Though we have played a team from Sahara (El Masry), I think Club Africain and FUS Rabat are better sides than El Masry. So we need to again read how they play to get answers for them but since we are in same group, we need to focus to be able to compete with them.
The reigning Ugandan champions face off against Morocco’s FUS Rabat in their first match expected to be played away on May 12.
