
KCCA have been drawn to face Tunisia’s Club Africain and FUS Rabat of Morocco in the group stages of the Total CAF Confederation Cup 2017.
KCCA reached the stage by beating El Masry of Egypt 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 aggregate stalemate, with Benjamin Ochan saving two penalties and scoring the winner in Egypt.
The Ugandan champions who dropped to the second tier competition of African football after losing to South Africa and continental reigning champions will also face Nigeria’s Rivers United.
This is the first time a Ugandan side has reached this stage of this competition since it change the format.
By reaching the group stages, all teams are already assured of $ 275,000 but can earn $ 75,000 for reaching the quarter finals.
The winners of the competition will win a trophy and prize money worth $ 1.25 million.
KCCA’s first game is away to FUS Rabat, on May 12, a side that denied SC Villa chance to play in the group stages of the competition last year with a 7-1 aggregate win.

Group D: TP Mazembe (DR Congo), SuperSport United (RSA), Horoya (Guinea) and CF Mounana (Gabon)
