A goal in either half from Deboss Kalama and immensely talented midfielder Moses Sseruyidde ensured first timers Kira United outwit already relegated Kyambogo 2-0 and book a FUFA Big League promotional playoff slot.

The game was played at the Luzira Prisons playground than the originally planned Kyambogo University West End playground because the latter facility had been booked by the Corporate League community.

On their first time of asking, Kira United finish third with 39 points, two points ahead of fourth placed Busia Fisheries who had shocked Elgon Group winners Maroons 2-1 at the Madibira playground on Friday.

Abbey Mbaziira, an official at Kira United was delighted by the performance of the club in their debut season of the FUFA Big League.

In an exclusive interview with Kawowo Sports on Sunday, he noted;

I am so excited by the performance of the team as a whole. I appreciate the players in a special way, not forgetting the other officials, fans and the supportive media.

We have the hope this is our chance to qualify to the Premier League
